About Ashok Kakkar
I am an Advocate, IBBI-Registered Insolvency Professional and Former Banker, with more than four decades of professional experience, including extensive experience in banking, credit, NPA management, recovery and related matters.
During my banking career with Punjab National Bank, I worked in different areas of banking, including branch banking, credit, recovery, regional ,zonal office,Head Office and other responsibilities. My professional experience has provided me with an opportunity to understand banking not only from the perspective of policies and procedures, but also from the practical challenges faced by banks, borrowers and businesses.
After retirement from banking, I pursued legal education and professional practice. My areas of interest and work include banking law, NPA management, recovery, SARFAESI, DRT, NCLT, IBC, CIRP, claims, liquidation, corporate finance and related legal and regulatory matters.
I am also an IBBI-Registered Insolvency Professional, which has provided further practical exposure to insolvency proceedings, resolution processes, claims, stakeholders and issues arising during CIRP and liquidation.
